We got a lobster roll and fries - both were amazing! This was my first time eating a lobster roll, and I want another! I've had lobster before and honestly I never really cared for it. However, I'm thinking I've never had good lobster because this roll had so much delicious lobster that my mouth is watering just thinking about how good it was. Not only was the food good, the staff are so friendly. This place knows customer service.

Super delicious! I spent about 23 and was very happy. I do wish I was warned about how large the side of cole slaw is but it did not disappoint. I also didn't feel super comfy sitting there eating but it was a quick walk to my hotel. The tater tots were crispy and you get a good sized portion. The lobster roll was fantastic and very full! Great experience and would absolutely go back.

Woke up Saturday morning craving a lobster roll and wanted to find a spot that didn’t disappoint. Found Joe’s On A Roll while searching Google and decided to give them a try for lunch even though it was an hour drive. It in fact did not disappoint! I wish I lived closer so that I could come here more often. I also had the clam chowder which was just as good, but that mayo lobster roll was perfect!

Loved it I also Bought 3 steamed Lobsters for 26 and about 4 pounds total. The only thing is I expected more lobster in my Lobster Roll as individually it costs 16 and 1 Lobster of about 1 1/4 is about 8. It's 6.50 a pound of Lobster. So had looked a pictures from older reviews and the Rolls were super filled mine was very slim I fluffed it up a bit for the picture I was sending my sister and added mayo and salt and pepper.

Loved it! A hidden gem that was a bit off the beaten path from tourist central, but was worth it! The food was fresh, tasty, and affordable. And the service was fast and friendly. Wishing all the best for this niche establishment! When you visit, do keep in mind that it's an outside establishment. You order at the window and eat outside. So if you are going on a cold day like we did, make sure you stay warm!

In a search for “best lobster roll in Beverly,” Joe’s On A Roll came up in the Google search results. I checked out the reviews and decided to give it a shot. This is kind of an out-of-the-way location that used to be a food truck before it became a permanent building. There are about four parking spaces in front of the building and no seating indoors. There is a bench out front that would allow for a place to sit and eat, however, I opted just eat my lunch in my car. This is the kind of place that when you see it, you know it’s kind of like a gem for the locals and the neighborhood. There was a walk up window with menus posted beside it and I placed my order for a hot buttered lobster roll combo. In about four minutes, my order was ready and the service was friendly and fast. They take cash as well as credit/debit at Joe’s. The chips offered were either a bag of Cape Cod plain or Salt and Vinegar and there were various cans of soda, tea and bottles of water available. I opted for the Salt and Vinegar chips and an Arnold Palmer tea. All of that was just as expected, but the absolute hit was the lobster roll. This is sometimes called a Connecticut style lobster roll and it was definitely delicious. The lobster was plentiful, buttery and so tender. It just melted in my mouth and was just perfect. The bun was toasted just right and I’d guess this roll had about 4 ounces of lobster, which was not bad for 20. They do offer the lobster roll in the traditional cold mayo variety, but I was just in the mood for something different and I would absolutely order this again. This lobster roll was the perfect size for a lunch portion and I will definitely be back the next time I travel to Beverly.

Just had a Haddock sandwich w/cole slaw for lunch and it was awesome! Light breading, can taste the freshness of the fish, and think the sandwich weighed about half a pound! Got tartar on the side and didn’t even use it. Cole slaw was also top notch. I’ll be back!
